Sometimes, you're lucky and get some good shit.

The butterfly is a Passionvine Butterfly, or Gulf Fritillary, Agraulis vanillae. Pretty as they are, not every butterfly eats nectar. Rotting fruit, manure, tree sap, decomposing animals are yummy to some butterflies.

Which reminds me, my food preferences are cultural. Never say yuck to someone else's cultural differences -- maybe there's something to be learned.

But then, of course, humans aren't designed to eat excrement, so that's probably not the lesson....

Sometimes you fly high. Sometimes you land in shit. You have to take the bad with the good.

From the Grateful Dead: "One man gathers what another man spills." (Which is a good mantra for the Green movement - recycle and reuse!)

From our movie 'strange frame': "How fortunate are those who can frame the beauty of the strange."
