North Kohala Eat Locally Grown Campaign
A project to continue to move towards a community goal (from the North Kohala CDP) of “promoting diversified agriculture” and “producing 50% of the food it consumes” by: (1) Increasing consumer awareness and increasing the market for locally grown food. (2) Creating and strengthening connections between farmers and buyers. (3) Building the capacity of the community to meet this challenge.

BALLE (Business Alliance for Local Living Economies)- Building our Capacity and Creating Connections to Build a Local, Green, Economy
A project to help build the foundation for the development of a vibrant, local, green economy on Hawaii Island. This project will work with the approximately 400 businesses and organizations identified in the Island of Hawaii Green Economy Report that are working in the green sectors of Renewable Energy and Fuel, Sustainable Agriculture, Green Construction, Conservation and Pollution Mitigation, and Environmentally Friendly Products and Services.

Co-Coordination and Facilitation of the North Kohala Food Forum.
- Analyzing the results of participant surveys and making recommendations to the committee for process at the Food Forum event.
- Collating the results of participant surveys in way that communicates the barriers and opportunities to the public and other participants.

Varroa Mite Steering Committee
Coordinator/Facilitator for the Varroa MIte Steering Committee, a multi-stakeholder group of beekeepers, government, academia, and agricultural interests that has formed to help address the imminent threat of the varroa mite to the honey, queen production and agricultural industries.

Avocado Oil Mill Research for Michael Krones
Completion of a preliminary report on avocado processing for oil:
- Research the process for processing avocados for oil, guacamole, and secondary market products.
- Identify machinery, sources of machinery and cost of machinery for extracting avocado oil.
Waimea CDP Committee, a part of the Waimea Community Association
- Writing, editing, production and distribution of a quarterly newsletter aimed at informing and engaging the Waimea community in the Community Development Planning process.
- Grant writing and reporting.
Kona Earth Festival, 2007
- Production of newspaper, radio, website, poster and press release content to publicize 16 different eco-events under the Kona Earth Festival Banner.
- Production of two unique events - Earth Mother’s Day and the Beyond Oil Film Series.
- Worked with many community partners and businesses including: the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, TREE Center Hawaii, Aloha Performing Arts Center, Kona Soil & Water Conservation District, Waste Stream Kohala, West Hawaii Veterans' Cemetery Development and Expansion Association, Friends of NELHA, Provision Technologies, Inc., Jack’s Diving Locker, Kawanui Farm and Recycle Hawaii.
Hawaii Island Economic Development Board- Community Support for Coqui Frog Control
Fulfillment of project deliverables for this federally funded project:
- Logistics and publicity for island-wide community educational classes.
- Design and implementation of an educational media campaign including radio, website, email, newspaper, magazines and community newsletters.
- Preparation of bids and selection of contractors to provide project equipment and supplies.
- Distribution and tracking of hydrated lime and citric acid to fight coqui frogs.
- Preparation of monthly and final reports.
- Worked collaboratively with representatives from the County of Hawaii, State of Hawaii- Department of Agriculture, USDA, University of Hawaii at Manoa- College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR), Big Island Nurseryman’s Association and community groups.
- Representing Hawaii Island Economic Development Board in the community, on the Coqui Frog Working Group, and on the Stop Coqui Hawaii task force.
Hawaii Island Economic Development Board- Women in Technology Project
Fulfillment of project deliverables for this federally funded project:
- Administration of initiatives including: Botball (robotics), Big Island R.O.V. (Remote Operated Vehicle) Robotics Competition, Hawaii Center for Learning Science Through Art, Project EAST, Hilo Youth Robotics Summer Camp, Women in Technology Internship Program and MentorNet.
- Preparation of monthly and final reports.
- Representing Hawaii Island Economic Development Board in the community.
Hawaii Island Economic Development Board- Huiana Internship Program
- Administration and point of contact for the Huiana Internship Program
- Facilitated the launch of the program with partners from: Department of Labor and Industrial Relations-Workforce Development Division, State of Hawaii Department of Education, Hawaii Community College, Hawaii Electric Light Company, Kamehameha Schools and Hawaii Island Economic Development Board.

Maui Film Festival at Wailea
Development, implementation and management of systems to manage festival ticket sales for on-site, on-line and island-wide ticket vendor locations.
- Supervision of four (4) office staff, five (5) on-site box office staff and six (6) off-site sales staff.
- Supervision and interface with four (4) technical support (hardware and software) consultants.
- Responsible for reporting and accounting of festival sales.
- Implementation and management of festival-wide database to streamline operations and facilitate interdepartmental communication.
Holistic Health from Hawaii
- Produced, funded and marketed Holistic Health from Hawaii, a one hour program which was broadcast on PBS Hawaii.
