As a Business Coach, I work with highly motivated people and teams who are interested in operating with a people, planet and profit centered philosophy.
Whether you are implementing new triple bottom line strategies or just trying to stay on top of the day-to-day, coaching of key personnel and green teams keeps everyone on the same page and meeting important milestones. If you are a business owner or manager, coaching can help you to stay focused on accomplishing your big picture projects. Personal balance is the foundation upon which I work, and you and your team will be encouraged to maintain work-family-health-recreational balance while working with me.
What Exactly is Coaching?
Coaching takes place in the comfort of your home or office, on the phone, in a 30 or 45 minute session. Coaching is not therapy and it is not consulting. It is a specific set of skills applied to elicit solutions and strategies from you, and to create accountability to keep you on track.
I have been trained at Coach U in the “core competencies” of coaching which include; establishing trust and intimacy, coaching presence, active listening, powerful questioning, direct communication, creating awareness, planning and goal setting, managing progress and accountability, and adhering to ethical guidelines and professional standards. I also bring the sum total of my professional experience, including my project management and communications skills, to the table when I coach. Group Coaching is the application of these coaching skills in a group setting (which meets on the phone.)
You can read the International Coach Federation definition of coaching and learn more on my Life & Business Coaching website. You can also peruse 101 Things to Work on With Your Coach. If you would like to test drive the coaching process, contact me for a complimentary 45 minute session.
Coaching takes place in the comfort of your home or office -
on the phone.
Meet (on the phone- low carbon footprint!) in a group coaching session with like-minded individuals to share your ideas, learn rapidly, create accountability and achieve your goals. Group coaching enables you to go deeper and move forward more rapidly than a traditional facilitated meeting. Need to achieve results with your corporate or non-profit team? Are you ready to bring people together to advance an interest? Custom group coaching is available for your company team or interest group. Contact me to co-create your group.
Current Groups:
Green Business Group Starting January 14, 2009

Space in Green Business Group is limited to seven participants.
What is Group Coaching?
Group Coaching is the application of coaching skills (see above) in a group setting (which meets on the phone.) The group co-creates the group coaching focus and agenda, and I as the coach, employ coaching skills to maximize learning and help meet the stated goals of the group. Sometimes I might coach an individual member (always with the permission of that person) and sometimes pose questions, insights, observations to the group as a whole. The format is designed to be fully participatory.
Creating an environment of trust and intimacy are of paramount importance and to that end there are very specific ground rules regarding confidentiality, how and when I coach participants during the call, and how participants address each other and the group. Participants are also asked to be fully present during the group coaching session- no checking email or multi-tasking during the call.
What are the Benefits of Group Coaching?
- Creates a safe, confidential, compassionate space for people to share their personal and professional challenges, achievements, goals, and journeys.
- Dedicates “you” time for personal/professional development.
- Creates accountability.
- Opportunity to network with, and get to know professionals in the same field (or across different fields.)
- Sharing of information, experience, knowledge, and resources among participants.
- Feeling the support of like-minded individuals.
- Possibility of synergistic projects, relationships and/or networks emerging.
Desired Outcomes
- You will come to the group with goals that you want to accomplish and you will work on achieving those goals with support from the coach and the group.
- Group goals will organically emerge. It would be limiting for the coach to set the group agenda too tightly and pre-suppose or pre-define group outcomes. That being said, some general outcomes are:
- Achieving your stated goals.
- Sharing of information and resources.
- Networking.
- Personal and professional growth.
- Emergence of natural synergy within the group.
- Group Coaching: two, one hour sessions per month, for six months. Maximum of seven participants per group.
- Laser Coaching: dedicated coaching time (twice per month) for participants to avail themselves of private 15 minute “laser” coaching sessions. Laser coaching means a quick, to the point coaching session on a discreet subject.
- Participant Face Book (private): includes bios, photos and contact information of all participants and is distributed to participants.
- Initial Inquiry: participants are asked to answer a number of initial “thoughtful” questions to gauge the needs and desired outcomes of the group, this information is collated and shared with the group in advance of the first session.
- Logistics Coordination: collating of welcome information, clearinghouse/distribution of group information (not minutes of sessions but rather specific requests), and reminder emails.
- Recording of Sessions: sessions will be recorded and distributed to participants.
